17th Annual Bridal Show and Benefit
WHERE CAN YOU FIND local vendors to assist you with your special wedding? At the 17th Annual Bridal Show and Benefit at Reed Arena, March 29th, 2009. Over 100 vendors will display their wares from 11am to 4pm in a setting where you can taste, touch, sample, and even reserve locations, photographers, and more!

The Bridal Association of the Brazos Valley (BABV) came from humble beginnings, 17 years ago, at a kitchen table of one of the founding members. Five charter members have grown into an association of 160+ wedding/bridal minded businesses in Bryan/College Station and the surrounding counties and communities. When the group was established in 1992, they did not want to just increase their own revenues; they wanted to be able to make an impact on the community. By chartering as a non-profit organization, the plan was to make contributions to local charities. Over the past several years, proceeds from the annual Bridal Show and Benefit have gone to Habitat for Humanity, Church Pantry, Voices for Children, Brazos valley Animal Shelter, Brazos Valley Food Bank, Brazos Valley Branch of the American Red Cross, and more. In addition to charities, funds have also been used to further the Arts with contributions to the Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra, Brazos Valley Troupe, The Arts council of the Brazos Valley, and the Veteran’s Memorial.

In both 2007 and 2008, proceeds from the Spring Bridal Show and Benefit were donated to the Brazos Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross, with the funds earmarked to stay in the community. We are proud to say that we have been able to donate $20,000, to date, to the local branch of the Red Cross. Our contributions have been the largest contributions received by the local Red Cross office in its history. The addition of a second Bridal Show and Benefit in the fall has increased the impact that the BABV has on local charities. The 2009 Fall Bridal Show and Benefit has chosen the Brazos Valley Breast Cancer Support as the beneficiary of that show. Proceeds from this Spring’s bridal show, once again, will go to the Brazos Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross.

If you cannot attend our Spring Show on March 29th, then please Save the Date for our 3rd Annual Fall Bridal Show and Benefit on September 13th, 2009 at the College Station Hilton.
